Life is Full of Moments - Micah Christensen
…the greatest moments that I have had and will continue to have as I live out my life are the moments that I choose to live in faith.
Life is full of moments. Some of them are sad, some of them are the greatest memories that I have, others are a small and could be easily missed, but I think that some of the greatest moments that I have had and will continue to have as I live out my life are the moments that I choose to live in faith.
I’m not a complicated person, so for me Legacy is about having those moments of choosing faith. Those can be two pretty big words “Legacy & Faith” but they are also really simple. You see, 7 years ago my wife and I (and at the time our first child) made the decision to stay in Melbourne and didn’t really know what we were supposed to do with that or what it would look like, but we knew that God wanted us here and had a plan for us.
That was enough for me, even though it would have been easier to move back to where our families were.
I remember having this moment where I just felt like this was God, so I turned to my wife and said, “we’re staying here”.
That can be an incredibly big decision, but I remember thinking to myself, “it wasn’t that hard to make that decision”. It was of those moments.
Fast forward to now, I would have never thought that we would be doing the things we are now, we get to partner with and build something that is impacting people, some even in ways that I will never know about, and the work that I do has an eternal effect on not only my life and my family’s life, but my community, my city, my nation. And I think back to the moment where we decided to stay, and realise, that’s what Legacy is: having the faith to partner with something when I have no idea what the future or the outcome will be.
So, really for me, it comes down to something simple: if God is in it, then so am I.
