The Young People I See - Hannah de Lacey
Legacy has a direct impact on creating opportunities for these kinds of young people to be called out and released…
In society, the words that may come to mind when presented with the term ‘young person’ could be things like: disconnected, immature, misdirected, or even reckless. The general perception of young people today is something my heartbreaks for and am desperate to see transformed.
I’m reminded of a scripture in Romans 12:1-2 (paraphrased) that shapes the kind of young people I see.
‘Taking your everyday, ordinary lives and place this before God as an offering. Don’t become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit in without even thinking. Readily recognise what He wants from you and quickly respond. God develops well-formed maturity in you.’
The young people I see are ones who have a commitment to Christ’s Lordship.
Young people who have clarity of their God-given purpose.
Young people who would continue to be transformed into the likeness of Christ.
More and more, we are seeing these kinds of young people discipled through our church and youth ministry programmes.
The resource given through Legacy has a direct impact on creating opportunities for these kinds of young people to be called out and released; ones who will create a generational echo.
