An investment in tomorrow, today - Daniel Sullivan
…tomorrow’s successes lie in what we do, invest and sow in our work, business and life…
When I think about legacy in business, I immediately think about successful entrepreneurs. Particularly people like Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, who has said that, “once you do have a success, don’t rest on your laurels. "Friends congratulate me after a quarterly-earnings announcement and say, 'Good job, great quarter,'” Bezos said, "and I'll say, 'Thank you, but that quarter was baked three years ago.' I'm working on a quarter that'll happen in 2021 right now.””
This is fundamentally what legacy is: understanding that tomorrow’s successes lie in what we do, invest and sow in our work, business and life for tomorrow. We need to do all we can do, and then, and only then, does the Holy Spirit come to do what only He can do.
Today’s rewards aren’t something that miraculously happen, but are orchestrated because of the vision we have, the planning for the future, and the sacrifice and hard work that is required of us today to be able to reap the profits of tomorrow.
