church is alive today to see people break through in every season
I will never forget the first time that a song I had been a part of writing and in fact the first song I had written was played for the first time at one of our church conferences. Looking out to see over 2,000 people with their hands raised singing, connecting and worshiping the name of Jesus as they sung the words which I alongside other songwriters had poured heart and soul into.
Growing up in church as a pastor’s kid has given me a perspective that I feel very privileged to have. Through the countless hours of church meetings and meeting people from different cultures and different places in society I understand that there is one thing we all have in common and that is our need for Jesus. I have seen time and time again the faithfulness of Jesus. Bringer of hope to the hopeless, healer to the sick, strength to the weak. He is the answer.
So why do I do what I do? The answer for me is simple, connection. To me this is what Legacy means. I get to be a part of doing something that is bigger than myself to see people connect with Jesus. Whether this is for the first time or for the 100th time. The church is alive today to see people break through in every season of their life and to be an agent that brings Jesus to the world.
John 3:16 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life”.
This will be my constant reminder that with whatever I do here to build church there are people that need Jesus, so no matter how much God asks us to do it is worth it because everyone that doesn’t know Him yet is worth it.
