In our Leadership Group this week, one of the 2nd Year LIFE Leadership College students asked the rest of us to describe “legacy” in one word.
The key is being open and available to others and when we do this God can do amazing things.
LEGACY to me, is all about the very meaning of the word. As part of God’s house, His church, His bride - we are seed carriers. As seed carriers we have the opportunity to leave a LEGACY not only for our own generation, but the next.
The first night I came, I can’t remember who was speaking or what they spoke on, but I was compelled by the presence of God to make a decision to recommit my life to Jesus. From the moment I lifted my hand I knew I was never going to be the same again.
Peter the apostle described Christians as living stones. Our physical buildings are important because they serve the purpose of building an eternal house, not made of bricks and mortar, but relationship.
Can you imagine what the world would look like if we welcomed each other with open arms? If we were to embrace the uniqueness of every individual person without judgement, without condemnation, flaws and all?
Today, as God’s people gather together as one, as the Church, each bringing their own gifts, talents, services, and offerings into the House of God, His promises remain sure.
